To sell an NHP—whether in stores or online (including platforms like Amazon.ca)—you must obtain a Natural Product Number (NPN) from Health Canada’s Natural and Non-Prescription Health Products Directorate (NNHPD). An NPN is an eight-digit license number that proves the product has been reviewed and approved as safe, effective, and of high quality. This number must be displayed on the product’s front label.
