Cosmetic Product Licensing

Cosmetic Product Licensing

Let us help you bring your beauty brand to Canadian consumers with confidence. In Canada, manufacturers and importers are required to notify Health Canada by submitting a Cosmetic Notification Form (CNF) at least 10 days before the first sale of a cosmetic product. At Approved Naturals, we manage the entire submission process for you—whether it’s one product or an entire product line. We also ensure that your labels meet Health Canada’s compliance requirements, so you can focus on growing your brand while we handle the regulatory details. In addition, cosmetic formulations must comply with Health Canada’s Cosmetic Ingredient Hotlist, which identifies prohibited and restricted ingredients. If you need support in reviewing or adjusting your formulations, our team is here to help. With Approved Naturals, you can be confident that your products are not only beautifully crafted, but also compliant, safe, and ready for the Canadian marketplace. Safe. Approved. Natural.

Natural Health Products Licensing

Natural Health Products Licensing

Natural Health Products (NHP) Licensing Simplify your NHP regulatory process with our expert solutions, streamlining your path to market. Natural Health Products (NHPs) are designed to help promote and maintain health. In Canada, these products are strictly regulated under the Natural Health Products Regulations (NHPR). To sell an NHP—whether in stores or online (including platforms like Amazon.ca)—you must obtain a Natural Product Number (NPN) from Health Canada’s Natural and Non-Prescription Health Products Directorate (NNHPD). An NPN is an eight-digit license number that proves the product has been reviewed and approved as safe, effective, and of high quality. This number must be displayed on the product’s front label. At Approved Naturals, we take the burden off your shoulders by preparing and submitting the Product License Application (PLA) directly to NNHPD–Health Canada, managing all correspondence until approval is secured. NHPs are classified into three different classes, and the category of your product will determine the review timeline. With our expertise, we ensure your application is properly prepared and monitored to avoid unnecessary delays. Safe. Approved. Natural.
